Amy Engelhardt made her Off-Broadway debut as composer/lyricist/vocal arranger of BASTARD JONES (with lyricist/librettist Marc Acito). The rock musical adaptation of Henry Fielding's TOM JONES, was an Off Broadway Alliance nominee for Best New Musical. BASTARD JONES was a Finalist for the Richard Rodgers Award and the Eugene O'Neill NMTC (twice) and was developed at Millikin University with a NAMT Writers' Residency Grant. At the cell theatre, leads Evan Ruggiero and Elena Wang were both Clive Barnes Award nominees (Evan won), and Evan garnered Drama Desk and Chita Rivera Award Nominations for his performance. During her 14 years as a vocalist/primary writer/arranger with Grammy Noms The Bobs, she spearheaded the development of (and wrote music/lyrics) for the Bobs/Flying Karamazov Brothers collaboration, A COMEDY OF ERAS at ACT Seattle.
