Uncle Funk and the Dope 6 - The Ultimate Dance Band!

Hailing from all reaches of the country, the members of Uncle Funk were hand-selected in 2013 to form the ultimate party/dance band. Uncle Funk has formed into a tightly knit, finely tuned musical experience. Members of Uncle Funk and the Dope 6 have shared stages with everyone from Little Feat and Prince to Los Lobos and Willie Nelson.

Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue provides care and treatment for native wild birds that have been orphaned or injured and can be rehabilitated for release back to the wild. Conservation education is a primary goal of the organization

On New Year’s Eve, or Ōmisoka (大晦日), it is a custom for Japanese to reflect on the past year and usher in the coming year, all while enjoying a bowl of hot soba noodles, called Toshikoshi Soba (年越し蕎麦), or year-crossing noodle. The long noodles also symbolize longevity. What better way to cross over a symbolic bridge than slurping up soba noodles!

Jefferson County’s Noen Koen 農園公園 (Farm Playgroup) will prepare 500 FREE samples of Toshikoshi Soba with assorted topping for attendees to sample beginning at 4:30PM until the the last noodle is served!
